Living Kitchens has one of the largest showrooms in Christchurch. There are seven kitchens on display some fully operational, a laundry and walk in scullery.

Carol Garland - Director and Design Consultant

Carol began her working life in the retail sector, where her managerial skills and strong focus on customer service were quickly to the fore. Later she joined a group of like-minded enthusiasts to establish the Orana Wildlife Trust, which became the focus of her professional life for the ensuring 23 years. Her determination and effort were rewarded with a QSM for service, as Orana Park developed into the iconic Christchurch institution it is today Carol's interest in interior design and in particular kitchen design was sparked at Orana. She was closely involved in the design of the parks 100-seat restaurant and later took over management of the facility. Her new-found passion for design soon led to a career change and in 1994 she took ownership of a kitchen manufacturing business. Carol carries all of the practical knowledge and flair for customer service she gained at Orana and her previous kitchen business, into her current role as Director and Design Consultant for Living Kitchens.

Nicky Begg - Design Consultant

Nicky is professional, practical and very approachable and she will give your kitchen project the attention her very high personal design standard demands.

After gaining her certificate in interior decoration and design (with Distinction) in 1992 she has worked in the field of kitchen design ever since.

Nicky will take your preferences and ideas and build them into the plan and talk with you throughout the design process. She has a strong commitment to excellence in design and she can visualise clearly your finished kitchen.

In consultation with you, your design is perfected then if required, Nicky is happy to assist you in choosing colours while considering the overall coordination of colours in your space.
