Process

From the very beginning, it is important to spend time with your Living Kitchens consultant, listen to them and together communicate ideas.

Your consultant will ask questions and note your preferences. Whether working from plans or an in home visit, your consultant will take in many considerations, traffic flows, spatial design, alfresco dining, appliance choices, your home style and your budget. You will be invited to the showroom to view a draft plan, we welcome your comments and input, often working together to develop a kitchen of function and style.

When you have decided on a final plan and we have just what you want, your Living Kitchens consultant will present the drawings and specifications to you, with computer aided 3D pictures, and a full detailed plan.

The estimation of the kitchens price will be dependant on products chosen, once you have decided this your consultant can finalize the costing, to the detailed plan. Both you and your consultant will now work together on the finer details, the fun bits, choosing colours and handles. The order for the kitchen will finalise the timing and organize check measure and trades required.

The kitchen spaces are check measured by Gary Philips our Production Manager, a joiner and builder with 20 years in the trade. He then details your kitchen order and construction begins.

Should you be redecorating and wish the old kitchen removed this may be best done soon, it can be taken from site for you and you can get on with getting the room painted.

Some 4-6 weeks after detailing you get the call to come and visit your new exciting addition. Your kitchen will be displayed in our warehouse, all set up to the layout as it will be fitted in your home.

An installation date is confirmed and the new Kitchen arrives as made up pieces of furniture. The professional installer will put the jigsaw together, mostly this can be achieved in one day. Plumbers, Electricians are all coordinated to have your kitchen up and going ASAP. The installer works fast and efficient he then cleans up and will take away his mess. Should you have chosen a Granite or solid surface bench top this may arrive a few days later after a template is made to get the exact size, we work to the millimetre.

Now Living Kitchens send out a delightful lady to vacuum all the units polish away finger marks layout the trays in your oven and polish everything spick and span. She checks through with you that you are happy and all is satisfactory. Any remedial works are taken care of immediately. Part of your payment for the kitchen is withheld by you until your are satisfied that everything you ordered is there and you are now another Living Kitchens HAPPY CLIENT. You have my word on it.
